We had a brilliant nights training yesterday! However, there was a slight accident at the start!
The beginners class were standing around talking to the instructors while our class was told to 'warm-up your dogs' (forget the dogs, I was freezing!) Anyway, I put Tilly onlead and walked her up the Dogwalk, aiming to get contacts. Unknown to me, the little Staffy in our class was off-lead and had decided to take herself up the other end of the Dogwalk! Both dogs met in the middle, and it was comical! Tilly couldn't get past, and the Staffy was trying to go under her, so Tilly jumped ship and leapt off the top!
The Staff followed and had a funny five miniutes bombing round the ring (like they all do) and Tilly decided that she wanted to chase it (that's Tilly's idea of fun - she loves chasing other dogs!). However the Staffy didn't want to be chased and flew at Tilly. Luckily the owner caught it's harness just before it made contact and pulled it away. (This ensured we had a talking to from our instructor about watching our dogs as agility gets very exciting and some can't cope with the excitment etc.)

Drama aside, we had a great session with some AMAZING weaves from Tilly. I was so proud of her! We came off the dogwalk, over a jump and straight into them. I pulled off slightly to avoid her running past them and it worked!
I've also stopped using my arms so much, and we managed a 'curved' line of obstacles using just my voice and body language.

Because of her progress, we've been told to move up to the higher class on a different day next week. I've also entered her into three competitions *gulp* next Sunday (the day after I go to Crufts - oh I'm going to have so much sleep!)
