Tilly passed her Bronze Progress Test on Sunday! I was so pleased with her.
We arrived a little late - as usual - and missed the first two runs. I made sure she had done her 'business' before going into the ring, and had had a little drink.

Really easy and straight forward.
Well, on the first run, Tilly got too over excited and doodle-dashed off course. She did finish it though, but we had to try again. The second go was SPOT ON! And really fast!

Tilly is being slightly annoying tonight. She is very restless and keeps pacing up and down and walking around the table! It's doing my head in!
I do need to find the time to take her on a long walk to the fields or the beach. Maybe this Saturday as we have her progress test on Sunday and I want to give her a bath before it.

This is a late entry!

Two weeks ago Tilly got into a scrap at agility. Another dog got possessive over some treats and BAM! It all kicked off in a split second. I managed to get in there and pull the other dog off. Tilly wasn't retaliating too badly, however the other dog was.
The other owner managed to grab her dog mid-lunge, however it redirected and made a massive puncture wound in her arm. Not the best of starts!

I'm a little annoyed. Two leads have managed to break in the last month! First a pink leather one, as we were walking on the seafront, and today nylon one! It snapped as we were walking down the road - Tilly doesn't even pull!
I think I'm going to buy her a proper bridle leather set and I want a police-type lead.
Y'know what they say .. you buy cheap, you buy twice!

We went on another very wet and muddy walk today. I took the girls up to a massive park near my Nan's house. They loved it! It was pretty empty apart from one other dog walker with a lovely Pointer - Doberman cross. We had lots of games of fetch. However at one point when I threw the ball, Tilly came hurtling back with it and didn't stop! I went straight down into the mud - and I caught it on camera!

We had a fab night at agility! Tilly was amazing! We got the weaves perfect, she flew over the jumps, got her contacts - and I got them all in the right order (well .... almost!)
We had a new bit of equipment out; the long jump, and she didn't even bat an eyelid at it. We have been told that we are moving up to the intermidiate class the week after next - and taking out Bronze Assessment at the end of November.

So yesterday we went for a walk and all got very muddy!! I decided to plonk them in the bath and give them a good shampoo!
I bathed Tilly in my Coconut shampoo and conditoner, gave her a towel down and brush with the hair dryer. Result = gorgeous smelling, fluffy bear!! Betsy got her whitening shampoo and detangling-strawberry conditoner!

Tilly and I go to agility once a week, in the evenings. Last week I had some difficulty in controlling her. My normally placid doodle turned into a loon. She jumped the fence into the other ring, ran around that (twice) and then stopped at my feet looking guilty.  I think she just gets too excited!

I have tried diffferent ways to document the things Tilly does, the places we go and the things we see. Nothing has ever really stuck. I've either got bored or found something better. I'm hoping this will stick. I will try to update this blog as often as possible. It will probably be after we've done something significant , however at times it will just be the days' events - be warned, it could get boring!
